Aberdeen hotel visitors will soon be able to sample the culinary culture of the north-east of Scotland at Taste of Grampian.

This one-day food and drink festival will take place at the Thainstone Centre in Inverurie on June 7th.

Every year this popular event allows visitors to discover the wide range of food and drink products made in the Grampian region of Scotland.

Numerous local producers attend the festival, offering everything from smoked salmon and roast beef to shortbread and ice cream.

Visitors who like a dram of whisky will be able to sample some of the finest creations from local distilleries.

The event programme also includes music, children's entertainment, arts and crafts, competitions and cookery classes.

Celebrity chefs provide another highlight of the festival – this year the famous faces will include Tony Tobin, Simon Rimmer and Alan Coxon.
