The classic tale of Sweeney Todd will be presented on stage at His Majesty's Theatre this year.

Aberdeen hotel guests will be able to see the show, which was originally written by the acclaimed composer Stephen Sondheim, from March 2nd to 6th.

The tale begins with the title character having just escaped from a penal colony after being wrongly convicted for a crime.

He returns to London with the aim of gaining revenge against the judge who condemned him, devastated his wife and stole away his daughter.

Audiences will be treated to a deliciously dark and macabre tale as Sweeney Todd teams up with Mrs Lovett and the pair come up with a unique way of achieving their respective goals.

Aberdeen hotel guests will be able to see several shows at His Majesty's Theatre over the coming months, including Fiddler on the Roof, which will open on February 17th and run until the 20th.
