News|Jekyll and Hyde the Musical in AberdeenAberdeen hotel visitors will be treated to a musical version of Robert Louis Stevenson's classic tale of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde next month. The city's Youth Music Theatre will present a dark and atmospheric production of the story at the Aberdeen Arts Centre between March 25th and 29th. This show follows the success that the youth theatre enjoyed with its realisation of Les Miserables at Her Majesty's Theatre in the Scottish city. Powerful and striking musical compositions will be used in the show, which explores the themes of human nature and the dangers of dabbling with the mind that were first investigated by Stevenson's story of 1885. Music lovers looking forward to a stay in an Aberdeen hotel next month will be able to find a performance of the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra at the Music Hall on March 28th. This event will include performances of pieces by Berlioz, Beethoven and Walton. |
