Birmingham nightlife is a mixture of laid back bars and pubs, classy restaurants and pulsating nightclubs. There is something for everyone to enjoy no matter what age or taste. The places to head to if you are looking for a night out on the town are The Arcadian Centre, The Mailbox, Star City, Brindleyplace and Broad Street. For those looking for a more refined night out the Birmingham Symphony Hall and the NEC Arena are good choices.

Some of the newer bars and clubs can be found along Brindleyplace and Broad Street, within close proximity of each other and also the Birmingham City Centre. Brindleyplace is a vibrant new development near the picturesque canal which features a bevy of European style restaurants and bars. It is the ideal place to relax and have a great night out with friends and family.

The Mailbox is distinctively upper crust with elegant chic restaurants; its location on the canal side makes it an ideal location to relax. Meanwhile the stylish bars, restaurants and lounges have regular live performances and are seen as being ultra hip. Live music is also played in the St. Paul’s Square area, with bands performing at the Jam House.

By contrast Broad Street is a livelier, more vigorous night life district. Probably one of the most happening entertainment districts in the world this small area packs in a plethora of clubs, pubs, bars and restaurants.

The well located Copthorne Hotel Birmingham is the ideal place to stay for the discerning visitor, offering well-appointed rooms and all amenities for a pleasurable stay.
