The historical Hever Castle in Kent, England is famous for being the familial seat of the Boleyn family. Shrouded in mystery and legend the castle draws many visitors eager to learn of the tale of Anne Boleyn, the second wife of King Henry the VIII who was accused of adultery and beheaded.

Known as the childhood home of Anne Boleyn, Hever Castle has a specially created Anne Boleyn Walk which travels through the historic castle and its beautiful gardens. Another interesting feature is the Anne Boleyn Books of Hours, these are two rare and historic prayer books that are inscribed and signed by Anne Boleyn herself.

The castle has a host of entertaining activities in store to entice visitors such as the adventure playground which is a favorite among kids. In true Renaissance style, the Hever Castle has created a Yew Maze which was a part of formal garden design in Europe during the period. This large maze created in the 18th century is one of the few historic garden mazes that survive to this day.

A host of other activities such as mock jousting, boating on the Hever Castle Lake, trying your hand at Falconry and the Hever Lake Walk can be enjoyed by visitors in addition to exploring the artifacts and the architecture of the castle.

Hever Castle, one of the finest historical attractions in the country is located close to the Copthorne Hotel London Gatwick which provides hotel accommodation at Gatwick Airport.
