Manchester hotel guests will be able to enjoy a European night to remember as Manchester United host European giants Ajax in the first leg of the Europa League Round of 16 in March.

United may have been expecting to still be in the Champions League at this stage of the season after reaching the final last year.

But after a poor qualifying performance that saw them come third in their group, the Red Devils have been given a do-over in the form of the Europa League.

They will host the Dutch champions on March 8th in the first of a two-legged affair that will conclude at the Amsterdam Arena on March 15th.

The first leg comes days after United head to White Hart Lane for what is quickly becoming a must-win game against Tottenham Hotspur.

Despite suffering a spate of injuries this season and some questionable results, the red team from Manchester just three points behind their city rivals, and Sir Alex Ferguson's men will still feel they have every chance of winning some silverware this season.
