The iconic BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art looms large on the Gateshead Quayside and its latest exhibition is just one more reason for people staying in hotels in Newcastle to pay the gallery a visit.

Having recently waved goodbye to its Turner Prize exhibition, Elizabeth Price's exhibition Here will offer guests a more than adequate replacement.

Employing the medium of video, Price uses digital recordings alongside text and music to create compelling and immersive works of art.

Compiling found footage from film and photography archives she weaves new and exciting narratives with a distinctly dark theme that represent humanity, desire, commodification and society.

For Here, the BALTIC curators are exhibiting old works alongside her newest piece, 'ruined cargo', which takes visitors under the Channel tunnel to explore a luxury liner that is wrecked at the bottom of the sea.

Elizabeth Price: Here runs at the BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art from February 3rd until May 27th. Entrance is free, though the BALTIC recommend leaving a donation.
