Having run for nearly five years in London, the hilarious and politically incorrect Avenue Q musical is heading on tour, calling at the Theatre Royal for a show in front of Plymouth hotel guests.

A rather unique musical, Avenue Q sees naughty and mischievous puppets and puppeteers career around the stage in a joyride of song, dance and derogatory humour.

With puppets that bear a canny resemblance to the Muppets, the Tony Award-winning show is set on a street in downtown New York and follows the musings of a cast of hopelessly inept puppets who are just trying to get by.

If you have never seen puppets struggle over questions of internet pornography, relationships or racial and sexual equality then you're missing out. Avenue Q is here to fill the hole.

Avenue Q is at the Plymouth Theatre Royal from January 25th until the 29th. Tickets cost between £10 and £32.
