Tickets are now on sale for the Betfred.com World Snooker Championship 2012, with the players and crowds alike heading to hotels in Sheffield during the prestigious tournament.

Held at Sheffield's Crucible Theatre, the competition is the number one even in the annual snooker calendar, having been held at the famous venue since 1977.

Bringing together the top 16 players in the world, the likes of Mark Selby, Judd Trump and John Higgins will be joined by a further 16 players who make the cut for the epic competition.

The tournament runs over two weeks in April and May, and tickets for various sessions are still available, giving snooker fans the perfect opportunity to see the world's greatest players compete on the baize for a chance to be crowned world number one.

The Betfred.com World Snooker Championship 2012 is at the Crucible Theatre between Saturday April 21st and Monday May 7th. Tickets cost between £20 and £65.
