News|La Traviata to be performed in WindsorVerdi's classic work will be staged by the Candlelight Opera company at the Theatre Royal on February 28th. Singers in traditional Victorian dress will perform in the show, with musical accompaniment provided by the Candlelight Orchestra. According to the Theatre Royal, this version of La Traviata will provide a "magical evening's entertainment, ideally suited to opera lovers and newcomers alike". Windsor hotel visitors who make it to the performance will be treated to renditions of a number of well-known pieces of music, including the famous Brindisi, also known as the Drinking Song. The Verdi classic will not be the only piece of operatic entertainment for audiences to enjoy at the Theatre Royal this year, with Johann Strauss's Die Fledermaus set to be performed at the venue from March 1st to 6th.
