The annual Betfair Ascot Chase in February has horse racing enthusiasts galloping to hotels in Windsor.

Leading the day is the grade one chase, which is worth £150,000.

The well established Betfair Chase has long been one of the most coveted races in the Ascot calendar and always draws large crowds to the famous racecourse to take in the action.

Spread over two miles and five furlongs, for many riders and horses the Ascot Chase is the last event before the Cheltenham Festival.

Also taking place on the day will be the grade two Sodexo Prestige Reynoldstown Chase which is a race for elite novice riders.

Taking place in support of the main race, the chase comes with a £40,000 Handicap Hurdle.

The Befair Ascot Chase takes place on February 18th and the gates open at 10.45am. The first race will begin at 1.20pm with the final race at 4.40pm.
