Named after Prince Albert, the husband and consort of Queen Victoria, the Royal Albert Hall has been host to musical events featuring some of the world's most famous artists that span a diverse collection of genres. Inspired by the Great Exhibition that was held in Hyde Park in 1851, Prince Albert wanted a permanent set of structures dedicated to the purpose of enlightening the public. Originally to be named 'The Central Hall of Arts and Sciences', Queen Victoria changed the name during its construction as Prince Albert died before he could see its completion.

Each year this immensely famous venue is host to over 350 different events that include musical performances, ballet, tennis, award ceremonies, community events, school functions and even banquets. The Royal Albert Hall also features a picture gallery on its upper levels that when not in use functions as a promenade. The hall also accommodates the second largest pipe organ in the United Kingdom.

Daily tours allows visitors to discover the grandness of the hall and its plush and fine interiors that have provided guests with a comfortable viewing experience over the years since inception.

When it comes to dining, The Royal Albert Hall features 13 bars and 3 restaurants which offer guests a diverse range of food and beverage options from which to choose from.

Discover the variety of events performed at this hall by staying at one of the hotels near the Royal Albert Hall such as the Copthorne Tara Hotel London Kensington. Guests who stay at this hotel can easily access this historic venue as well as other exciting attractions in the local area.
