Home > News > Short Film Festival 2012 directing crowds to London hotels

Film fans still have time to book a hotel in London in time for the Short Film Festival 2012, which begins next month.

The London Short Film Festival 2012 has pulled together 24 different programmes of short British films and will be screening almost 300 new shorts in total.

With filmmakers both new and old including their work in the festival, it promises to showcase some prodigious talents while also giving audiences the chance to see actors they might be more used to seeing in silver screen blockbusters.

Dame Judi Dench, Rhys Ifans and Daniel Craig are just some of the stars who have worked with the filmmakers taking part in the festival.

This year marks the ninth anniversary of the festival and it is billed as a celebration of 16mm and 35mm film, so crowds can expect some very special analogue productions to be included in the schedule.

Spread across venues throughout London, screenings will take place at the Hackney Picturehouse, the Roxy Cinema in Brixton, Cinema Lumiere and even the University Tent at the Occupy London Stock Exchange Camp outside St Paul's Cathedral.

The London Short Film Festival 2012 runs from January 6th until January 15th. Tickets are priced from £5 for adults and from £4 for concessions.

For the full programme visit the festival website.
