An extremely affluent neighbourhood in London, the main focus of the area is Kensington Street which is a high profile shopping street featuring upscale stores. The area is also home to several attractions including Kensington Gardens, Kensington palace, The Royal Albert Hall and several others.

Kensington Palace was the preferred home to more than one sovereign of England since the 17th century and is still the official residence of several members of the royal family. The palace offers the chance to have a glimpse in to the life of the royal family both in the past and present. Numerous rooms are preserved here that showcase the past including Queen Victoria’s bedroom where she lived until she was declared the Queen of England.

The palace also houses fashion collections that showcase the attire of the past and the present. One such collection highlights the garments that were worn by Diana the Princess of Wales.

Kensington is also home to several museums that cover a range of different areas. The Natural History Museum features a collection of biology and nature related exhibits. Some of these include the world famous diplodocus dinosaur statue replica that is housed in the central hall of the museum.
Other exhibits of notable interest include the whale skeletal structure and replica as well as the fully animatronic tyrannosaurus rex that is the next best thing from seeing an actual live dinosaur.

Another famous structure that is internationally recognised is The Royal Albert Hall. This distinctive building has been used for numerous purposes including musical performances, ballroom dancing, poetry recitals, boxing, wrestling and even tennis matches. The Royal Albert Hall always has an event taking place within its hallowed walls regardless of the time of year.

The Olympia Exhibition Hall is also located in West Kensington. This prestigious hall has been host to a wide range of events including musical performances by many famous artists. This exhibition hall is usually busy with a variety of high profile event which makes it a must visit site when in Kensington.
