The art lover seeking interesting places to visit in Glasgow should not find it a taxing task to find a worthy set of tourist attractions within the city. Most of the city’s architecture is remarkable to say the least, while most of the art galleries and museums showcasing the talents of local artists and others from around the world are available to explore. While the abundant shopping and dining options in Glasgow together with efficient transport facilities combine to create the ideal travel experience, visitors to this essentially Scottish corner of the world can look forward to a fulfilling holiday.

Constructed in 1996 according to a design created by one of the most talented architects from Scotland, Charles Rennie Mackintosh, the House for an Art Lover is an elegantly structured building located in Glasgow. Visitors to the House for an Art Lover should first focus their attention on the Mackintosh Suite where the very first sketches of the building’s design created by Charles Rennie Mackintosh himself can be examined. The Main Hall is next in line with its luxurious interiors completed with great attention to detail. Pass through the sliding doors and step into the grand dining room which is truly a regal site.

Charmingly well illuminated, the Music Room is adorned with stylish lanterns and highlighted with eye-catching vertical lines which accentuate the decor. Featuring a graceful piano the Music Room is a much favoured venue for events housed at this venue. The Oval Room which was essentially known as the Ladies Room is a lavish space with a warm yet sophisticated setting. The inviting fireplace area and perfectly placed window seats create an atmosphere of timeless luxury.
