News|Airline Purchasing Expo to touch down at OlympiaBetween April 30th and May 4th London will play host to an array of weird and wonderful films and events for the seventh annual International Festival of Science Fiction and Fantastic Film. This event, which is also known simply as Sci-Fi London, will include a selection of short films, as well as pictures concerned with topics such as time travel, superheroes and zombie invasions. A hotly anticipated film called Dante 01, which was dreamt up by Mark Caro, the co-creator of Delicatessen and The City of Lost Children, will be screened on the festival's opening night. The event will close with Chemical Wedding, a film that was written and scored by Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson. London hotel visitors will be able to see most of the screenings at the Apollo Cinema on Regent Street. Sci-Fi London will also host the Arthur C Clarke book awards this year, the shortlist for which includes novels by Stephen Baxter, Sarah Hall and Ken MacLeod.
