News|Derren Brown enchants Garrick TheatreLondon hotel visitors will be able to participate in an evening of wonder and illusion at the Garrick Theatre over the coming month. Derren Brown's stage show Mind Reader opened at the theatre on May 2nd and will close on June 7th. This short run follows a tour of 80 theatres nationwide, which saw the psychological illusionist perform in front of sell-out crowds. Brown said that his Mind Reader show is an attempt to recreate the magic displays of yesteryear and warned visitors that they should be prepared to get on stage and get involved. "For this show I wanted to return to more traditional roots of magic entertainment, and in particular the mind-readers of the 1930s," he said. "But like my other live shows, it's full of surprises, and hopefully both entertaining and thought-provoking - and of course there'll be plenty of audience participation." London hotel visitors will be able to find the show, which is not suitable for children younger than 12, at the Garrick Theatre on Charing Cross Road.
