The London Olympia will be focusing on the family at an event running from May 31st until June 1st this year.

According to the organisers of the Family Show, parents in the UK spend £5.3 billion entertaining their children in the summer holidays alone.

There are more than nine million children aged between five and 15 in the UK and it costs an average of £180,000 to raise a child to the age of 21.

The Family Show sets out to help parents ensure they spend this money correctly while also enjoying their family life.

A range of activities will be organised to help visitors explore the fun sides of their familial relationships, including arts and crafts shows, sporting displays, cookery demonstrations and a zone dedicated to technology.

Kensington hotel visitors who head to the Family Show will be granted free access to the Green Show, a new event exploring sustainable living, which will also run at the Olympia from May 31st until June 1st.
