The Royal Albert Hall will be playing host to exponents of innovative music old and new in June when it welcomes Goldfrapp and Lou Reed.

Kensington hotel visitors will be able to see Goldfrapp on June 25th.

This British pop electronica act are known for their visual theatrics and have enjoyed considerable success, with their third album Supernature debuting at number two in the album charts.

Their forthcoming show will not be their first performance at the Albert Hall, as they played the famous London venue as part of the Teenage Cancer Trust concerts in 2006.

Visitors to the Royal Albert Hall will then be treated to a show with a more retrospective feel as Lou Reed takes to the stage on June 30th.

Reed rose to fame in the 1960s as the frontman of The Velvet Underground and has since enjoyed an expansive solo career, with some 20 album releases to his name.
