News|City Showcase to help emerging talentEmerging creative talent will receive a boost in London next month at the City Showcase event. City Showcase was founded in 2003 and is designed to give support to people trying to make it in creative industries, with networking opportunities, workshops, information and guidance. The event works with musicians, designers, artists, producers, games developers and talented people in a number of other creative industries. City Showcase, which will take place at a number of venues between June 2nd and 6th, also hosts gigs that London hotel visitors will be able to enjoy, with past years seeing the likes of Razorlight, Amy Winehouse and Keane get involved. This year there will be an Indie night at the Metro Club on Oxford Street on June 5th, in association with John Kennedy and Xfm, and a classical concert headlined by Jonathan Ansell at St Giles in the Fields on the same date. Visitors looking to improve their creative abilities may be interested in attending songwriting masterclasses at the Gibson Studio on Rathbone Street on June 6th. |
