News|Mark Thomas fans booking London hotelsLast year the preacher's son decided to head to the Middle East to go rambling, walking the full length of Israeli Separation Barrier which stands starkly between Israel and Palestine. Crossing between the two sides, Thomas presents the experiences of his journey in a darkly funny tale that asks whether it is ever possible to get away from it all with a nice walk? Bringing the story of some 300,000 settlers, a wall that runs 750km, six arrests and a stoning, Thomas carries the show in his trademark style, using humour to diffuse what is in fact a starkly depressing tale. Constantly questioning injustice, inequality and corruption, Thomas clearly takes his political passions from his father. Past achievements have seen him set up a stall at an arms fair to expose the illegality of the trade as well as breaking the Guinness World Record for the most amount of single demonstrations in 24 hours. Mark Thomas: Extreme Rambling is at the National Theatre on Friday December 23rd. Tickets cost £12 and doors open at 7.30pm Book your stay at the Millennium Hotel London Mayfair ![]() 15/12/2011 |
